If paleontologists find a steep slope, folded sedimentary rocks, full of fossils, what they can say about their interaction?
Rocks, forming in some places, differ substantially from the others. Their specific characteristics are called sedimentary facies. It happens today, just like millions of years ago. Rocks at different sites can have very different composition, even if their accumulation occurred in the same period of time. The same applies to those included in them the petrified spines.
Fossils in some places is often very different from that of fossils in other places due to the environmental conditions in which the sediments. Just like ocean fish, shellfish, and mammals that live at different depths, the fossils found in various sedimentary deposits of ancient seas, characteristic of the marine environment. The stratigraphic arrangement of the sedimentary rock often shows the species and a sediment gradient. Paleontologists have found that dinosaurs were not alone on Earth. During the Mesozoic era they lived together with many other animals. These animals were like many groups of animals living on Earth today. The first mammals appeared in late Triassic period, along with frogs, turtles, lizards and crocodiles. By the end of the Cretaceous period there lived birds, snakes and marsupials and primitive mammals. They all lived together in the same region, sharing water and food (being a food), just as birds and mammals, large and small, do it today.
One of the problems faced by paleontologists recreating the overall pattern of accumulation of fossils is that many of the marine tube worms and other species have a soft body. Marine plankton, tube worms and similar organisms do not have hard bones. Their remains quickly decompose. The only clue to their existence are fossilizable tunnels that remain from Protyvsih their creatures. So some species were replicated on remaining habitat.
