The total excavated area amounted to 25 thousand square meters. There were more than one hundred archaeologists who came to Yelets from many regions of Russia. In the expedition were scientists from Siberia, the Urals, Tatarstan, Ukraine, Moldova. In total, archaeologists have learned from Yelets land more than 300 well-preserved artifacts. Scientists have discovered a settlement – part of the city or its nearby suburbs to the destruction of the city by Tamerlane. Now found the objects sent for examination. The results will be created a 3D model of the settlement and presented to the public in early 2015.
