In Lugansk region archaeologists have discovered ancient settlements in the region.

Specialists of the archeological center “the heritage” of the East-Ukrainian national University named after Volodymyr Dahl in the summer of archaeological studies conducted a large-scale search operation on the left Bank of the Seversky Donets within Kremensky district to identify and account for unknown objects of national cultural and historical heritage. The result of this work was the discovery of ten entirely new multi-layered settlements with the materials of ancient cultures from the Neolithic to the early middle ages.

Especially valuable for Ukrainian historical science is discovery, settlement “Serebryansky-2” in the Kremen lesookhotnichy economy. Here were found the fragments of casting moulds and ornamented pottery, tools of stone and bone, remains of dwellings of the late Neolithic period. This settlement promising for future excavations stationary.
