The list of items consists of 83 artifacts Dating from 1,5 to 5 thousand years that occur from the area of Ban Chiang the province of Udon Thani in northeast Thailand, where archaeologists for several decades already excavated settlements of this historical period.
International Museum of California in San Diego returned to Thailand donated by private persons the collection of archeological findings, previously illegally exported from the country, said on Tuesday the newspaper “Khao SOT”.
The 83 subject of the age from 1,5 to 5 thousand years come from the area of Ban Chiang the province of Udon Thani in northeast Thailand, where archaeologists for several decades already excavated settlements of this historical period, the report said.
Among the returned artifacts pottery fragments, bronze axes, bronze jewelry: bracelets, earrings, temporal rings and rings, clarifies the issue. Only in the USA over the last 30 years were taken over 500 finds from Ban Cienga, where the local population began to gather findings that came to the surface during agricultural work, even before there arrived the first archaeological expedition.
