The researchers found in Asia, new remains of human ancestors, suggesting that our predecessors very quickly settled on the planet and Asia was one of the first places where you headed migration flows. New remains of skulls of ancient people were found in the so-called “Cave of the monkeys” in Laos.
It is known that anatomically modern humans emerged about 200,000 years ago in Africa, but when and how they settled the planet, remains unclear. Archaeological evidence and genetic evidence indicates that the ancestors of the people fast enough to move out of Africa and in South Asia they were already about 60 000 years ago. However, in South Asia, which experts believe was first inhabited, the remains of that period is almost gone. Partly because of the warm and humid climate, which destroyed them.
This time, however, specialists found such remains in the Lao “monkey Cave”, located in the Northern part of the country. For the first time about the anthropological value of the cave began back in 2009, when there were found the first remains. During the restoration of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral in Pereslavl-Zalessky researchers found on its walls are some ancient graffiti, including a unique inscription of the XII century — a message about the assassination of Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky and a list of his killers, some of which were previously not known.
The unique inscription, which according to the press service of the Institute of archaeology RAS. turned out to be the oldest dated manuscripts of North-Eastern Russia. Ancient graffiti found and studied occupy a special place among Moscow: Professor of the Higher school of economy Alexey Gippius and fellow of the Institute of Slavic studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences Savva Mikheev.
Restoration works on the external walls of the Cathedral, built in 1157, were launched in summer 2015. This inscription and the other was nearly destroyed during the restoration. However, the scientific staff of the Pereslavl-Zalessky Museum-reserve has insisted that the walls of the Cathedral were washed with pressurized water and not cleaned with an abrasive as originally envisaged. Specialists of the archeological center “the heritage” of the East-Ukrainian national University named after Volodymyr Dahl in the summer of archaeological studies conducted a large-scale search operation on the left Bank of the Seversky Donets within Kremensky district to identify and account for unknown objects of national cultural and historical heritage. The result of this work was the discovery of ten entirely new multi-layered settlements with the materials of ancient cultures from the Neolithic to the early middle ages.
Especially valuable for Ukrainian historical science is discovery, settlement “Serebryansky-2” in the Kremen lesookhotnichy economy. Here were found the fragments of casting moulds and ornamented pottery, tools of stone and bone, remains of dwellings of the late Neolithic period. This settlement promising for future excavations stationary.
