However, it was different, believe scientists from the University of Binghamton in new York (USA).
In their opinion pieces, called “meta a”, actually served as tools. The findings of archaeologists refute existing theory about the bloody battle that destroyed the civilization on the island. New assumptions based on the results of the analysis of over 400 samples “mate and” collected on Rapa Nui.
According to the head of research, Professor Carl Lipo, a careful study of the fragments shows that they differ in shape, unlike the model spearheads. Comparing the samples from Easter island with the fragments of weapons found in Europe and around the world, you will notice that all the elements of the latter have the same carefully designed and tested the form, says the scientist. The researchers found in Asia, new remains of human ancestors, suggesting that our predecessors very quickly settled on the planet and Asia was one of the first places where you headed migration flows. It is known that anatomically modern humans emerged about 200,000 years ago in Africa, but when and how they settled the planet, remains unclear. In the archaeological Museum of Tigranakert in Nagorno Karabakh opened the exhibition of artifacts discovered during the excavation of a barrow near the village of nor Haykajour Markerscase district.
The exhibition features more than 30 exhibits, Dating from the ninth-eighth centuries BC: ceramic vessels, jewelry, bronze parts of a belt, gold jewelry in the form of animals, detail of the tomb, the iron weapon, the wooden parts of the staff, the correspondent of the “Caucasian knot”.
Part of the findings is being reviewed in Armenia, because the exact numbers will be known after all laboratory examinations, told the correspondent of “Caucasian knot” in the Department of tourism and historical environment protection of the Ministry of economy of Nagorno-Karabakh.
For excavations to State service of protection of the historic environment has invited archaeologists from Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia.
